[November 06, 2009]  GREENVILLE -- The Red Lions of Lincoln Christian University came out "smoking" in the first two games, cooled off a bit in the third and then turned up the heat again as they defeated the Panthers of Greenville College 25-12, 25-17, 23-25 and 25-14 at Greenville on Thursday evening.

Led by Jamie McFadden, LCU was especially strong at the net, where they registered 51 kills and 38 blocks. McFadden had 15 kills, eight blocks and five digs; Krystine Schnautz had 13 kills, five assists, nine blocks and six digs; Adriane Tschantz, 11 kills and 11 blocks; Nicki Wingfield, eight kills, eight blocks and two assists; and Rachel Langseth, four kills and one block. Setter Megan Callahan turned in 45 assists and five digs. Libero Jessica Crowl contributed 16 digs.

The 23-6 Red Lions will next host St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Saturday at 2 p.m., when they will honor the five senior members of the team.

LCU will then travel to Kissimmee, Fla., for the National Christian College Athletic Association National Volleyball Championship, where they are the No. 1-seeded team.
