Red Lions honor seniors with a win

[November 09, 2009]  The Red Lions of Lincoln Christian University honored their senior teammates -- Nicki Wingfield, Adriane Tschantz, Megan Callahan, Jessica Crowl and Jennifer Enata -- before the start of the volleyball match and then made quick work out of St. Louis College of Pharmacy at Lincoln on Saturday afternoon, 25-15, 25-15 and 25-9.

HardwareLCU, 24-6, was led by Krystine Schnautz with 16 kills, 15 digs, one service ace and one block; Jamie McFadden, 14 kills, seven digs, four blocks and two assists; Tschantz, 10 kills, one service ace, five digs, one assist and four blocks; and Wingfield, five kills, one assist and three blocks. Megan Callahan had 40 assists and 10 digs.

The Red Lions are now headed for Kissimmee, Fla., as the No. 1 seed in the National Christian College Athletic Association National Volleyball Championship on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Red Lions will be looking for the third national championship in the school’s history, having won in 1998 and 2003.
