[November 12, 2009]  As a reminder, Junior Railer evaluations are this Saturday, Nov. 14. Times are determined by grade level. If you have questions about what time your child will be graded, consult www.lincolnparkdistrict.com or call 732-8770. Skills being graded are dribbling, shooting, passing, one-on-one and three-on-three. The team draw will be on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and players will be contacted after that.

Our focus this month is on our group exercise classes. In recognition of the third anniversary of our spin program, participants in any group classes can register to win a special prize package each time you attend. Some of the prizes being offered are an extension of your Sports Center membership, water bottles, a personal training session, and a towel, bandana and socks with the spinning logo.

Lincoln Park District welcomes veteran instructor Danita L. Barger as she joins our talented staff of fitness professionals. Danita instructed kickboxing at a local martial arts school. Her passion is helping others achieve their maximum potential. Join one of her classes to be motivated and motivate others.

New offerings in group exercise are Cardio Kickboxing and a new Boot Camp. Is your goal to gain a healthier body and healthier lifestyle? Are you motivated to work hard to get the results you want? Then you may want to check out our new Cardio Kickboxing classes. You will use the basic kickboxing techniques, stability balls, bands, dumbbells and more to strengthen and tone your body. Danita and Jacki Pavlik will alternate Boot Camp on Saturday mornings at 8:30.

For November, Jacki will offer a Spinning class from 9:30 to 10:15 on Saturday mornings. Spinning is a fun, motivational form of stationary cycling set to music and verbal instruction. These classes are for any fitness level.
