Local help available for those with Medicare questions

[November 12, 2009]  The Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland has announced that local help is available for people who have questions about their Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage, Extra Help (low-income subsidies) and Medicare savings programs.

The service is available not only to older people who receive Medicare benefits, but also to people under age 65 who have disabilities and receive Medicare benefits.

The following agencies are available to help individuals identify benefits they may qualify for and to assist with enrollment in senior pharmaceutical assistance programs:

  • Logan County -- Senior Services of Central Illinois, 1-800-252-2516

  • Senior Citizens of Logan County, 217-732-6132
