[November 13, 2009]  Beginning Friday afternoon, County Highway 10 between Elkhart and Mount Pulaski will be open to traffic again. Eight and a half miles of this road was reconstructed with a concrete overlay. The roadway now has upgraded guardrail, striping and centerline reflectors that will improve the level of safety for all vehicles.

RestaurantThe cost of construction was approximately $4.5 million. The project was awarded $2 million from the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Economic Development Program. Remaining construction costs are being paid from federal funds.

The Logan County Highway Department thanks Illinois Valley Paving for their assistance and the local residents for their patience and cooperation.
