[November 20, 2009]  The first Home Based Business Expo had a successful first run. As a new event it is always difficult to get things off the ground, but the Route 66 Heritage Foundation of Logan County was happy with their first attempt at such an event. As with any event it is a team effort, and with the help of the fabulous vendors, the American Legion and Casey's, everything went as planned. The only uncooperative team member was the weather!

A big thank-you goes out to all the participants: American Legion of Lincoln, Casey's General Store of Lincoln, Darlene Begolka with Tupperware, Robin Morrow with Tastefully Simple, Carrie Seggelke and Ruth Halpin with Usborne Books, Christa Deterding with The Bag Lady and Watkins, Michele Rohlfs with Slumber Parties, Darlene Judd with Celebrating Home, Gina Rexroat with GB Designs, Acorn Ridge Archery, Mary Doyle with County Charm Candle and Soap, Mindy Banister with Hanna's Hair Pretties, Kim Horn with Beauticontrol, Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing, Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce, Rochelle Joseph with Longaberger, Rachel Bennett-Paul with Lia Sophia, Edith Keller with Stanley Home Products, Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau of Logan County, Bruce Huskins -- The Grass Clipper, Jennifer Spann with Pampered Chef, Rachelle Bandelow with Scentsy, and Citizens for Chuck Conzo.

The Route 66 Heritage Foundation was able to raise approximately $400 for the restoration project at The Mill and looks forward to hosting the second annual Home Based Business Expo, scheduled for the second Sunday of November in 2010.
