Agriculture futures slide on the Chicago BOT

[November 24, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery fell 2.25 cents to $5.785 a bushel, while March corn lost 3.75 cents to $4.0325 a bushel and oats for March delivery slipped 0.75 cent to $2.7075 a bushel. January soybeans shed 4 cents to $10.42 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle edged up 0.4 cent to 85.82 cents a pound; January feeder cattle gained 0.2 cent to 92.87 cents a pound; December lean hogs rose 0.7 cent to 58.3 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 1.32 cents to 85.8 cents a pound.
