Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[October 01, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery jumped 10 cents to $4.575 a bushel, while December corn rose 3 cents to $3.44 a bushel and November soybeans climbed 10 cents to $9.27 a bushel. Oats for December delivery lost 1 cent to $2.33 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded mixed and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle slipped 0.05 cent to 85.6 cents a pound; October feeder cattle gained 0.7 cent to 96.5 cents a pound; October lean hogs fell 0.2 cent to 50.07 cents a pound; and February pork bellies edged down 3 cents to 81.7 cents a pound.
