Agriculture futures, livestock prices mostly drop

[October 03, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mostly lower early Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery fell 2.75 cents to $4.50 a bushel, while December corn lost 1.25 cents to $3.3925 a bushel and November soybeans dropped 6 cents to $9.12 a bushel. Oats for December delivery were unchanged at $2.24 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures mostly fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle dropped 0.15 cent to 83.95 cents a pound; October feeder cattle lost 0.35 cent to 94.60 cents a pound; October lean hogs added 0.08 cent to 49.50 cents a pound; February pork bellies slid 0.45 cent to 80.80 cents a pound.
