[October 06, 2009]  The Lincoln Police Department and Logan County state's attorney announced in a news release Monday that Jacob L. Dickson, 17, of 1116 Seventh St., was arrested for aggravated domestic battery.

On Sept. 30, a 4-month-old female was taken to the emergency room at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries to her face, arms, torso and legs. The child was immediately transported to St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Injuries included broken ribs, broken arm and broken leg bones.

Lincoln police officers responded and determined that the child had been taken to the hospital by her father, Jacob Dickson, who said that the injuries were accidental.

Subsequent investigation resulted in Dickson's arrest for aggravated domestic battery, a Class 2 felony.

The Logan County state's attorney's office filed charges against Dickson, and the bond was set at $50,000.
