[October 06, 2009]  SPRINGFIELD (AP) -- Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn has replaced his budget director, who was a holdover from the administration of ousted Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Quinn announced Monday that Ginger Ostro (OSS'-troh) is leaving the budget office to become a policy adviser at the Student Assistance Commission. Ostro had been the budget director since 2007 and worked in the office for several years before that.

She is being replaced by David Vaught, one of Quinn's senior advisers.

Vaught worked for Quinn in the state treasurer's office more than 15 years ago and was managing director of an investment firm.
