Agriculture futures mixed, livestock prices rise

[October 08, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery shed 2.25 cents to $4.58 a bushel; December corn rose 1.25 cents to $3.595 a bushel; November soybeans added 3 cents to $9.13 a bushel; and oats for December delivery were unchanged at $2.28 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 0.30 cent to 82.60 cents a pound; October feeder cattle gained 0.40 cent to 93.25 cents a pound; October lean hogs added 0.75 cent to 50.85 cents a pound; and February pork bellies rose 2.20 cents to 82.60 cents a pound.
