Wiper Blades

Did you know that windshield wiper systems are designed to wipe 1.5 million times in their lifetime!

Wiper blades are like squeegees. Good wiper blades wipe the water away without leaving streaks on the windshield. When wiper blades age, it doesn’t make a tight seal against the window. This can be caused by nicks or cracks, road grime build up on the edge of the blade. Another key to streak-free operation is even pressure over the length of the rubber blades. If ice or snow form on the arms of the blades, it can create an uneven pressure, causing streaks on the windshield. A little life can be gained out of your wiper blade by wiping the edge with a cloth soaked in window cleaner until no more dirt come off the blade.
