Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[October 27, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures slid Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

RestaurantWheat for December delivery dropped 20.75 cents to $5.27 a bushel, while December corn plunged 19.75 cents to $3.78 a bushel and oats for December delivery shed 2.75 cents to $2.475 a bushel. November soybeans sank 19.5 cents to $9.865 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded mixed and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle slipped 0.25 cent to 87.15 cents a pound; November feeder cattle gained 0.4 cent to 95.87 cents a pound; December lean hogs rose 0.43 cent to 53.45 cents a pound; and February pork bellies edged up 3 cents to 88.97 cents a pound.
