Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[October 29, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery slid 8.5 cents to $4.9475 a bushel, while December corn lost 1.75 cents to $3.69 a bushel and soybeans for November delivery fell 5 cents to $9.685 a bushel. December oats rose 3.75 cents to $2.4775 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures fell and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle slipped 0.18 cent to 86.92 cents a pound; November feeder cattle edged down 0.35 cent to 95.5 cents a pound; December lean hogs gained 0.53 cent to 55.95 cents a pound; and February pork bellies shed 1.25 cents to 89 cents a pound.
