Betty Knollenberg

[October 29, 2009]  Betty L. Knollenberg, 76, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at 10:22 p.m. at Lincoln Christian Village.

A memorial service for Mrs. Knollenberg will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 14 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Andrew Nyren officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mrs. Knollenberg worked at Eaton Corp for six years, Avery & Comstock for 13 years, and retired as a homemaker.

She was born Oct. 29, 1932, in Lincoln to Henry Oran and Elsie Logsdon Meyer. She married William C. Knollenberg on July 30, 1950, in Lincoln. The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Brockhaus at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband of Lincoln; two daughters, Brenda Lee (and Timothy) Weimer of Wheaton and Barbara Lynn (and David) Erbe of Creve Coeur; and her grandchildren, Naomi Tiffani Adams of Lincoln, Carl (and Nicole) Weimer of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Margaret Whitney Weimer of Richmond, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother.

Funeral Director

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mary Martha Bible Study, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, The Oasis senior center and Linpro square dancing. She was a volunteer on the medical-surgical floor at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Betty was blessed also with the closeness of Bill's family, her church family and close friends, and her wonderful caregiver, Bill.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
