This
Sunday, Nov. 1, is the annual Zonta Club of Lincoln's turkey
dinner. Have a great holiday meal and support one of our most
distinguished civic organizations. It's at the Lincoln Community
High School, 1000 Primm Road. The hours are 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Medicare
Part D Basics on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the Activity
Room at the Vonderlieth Activity Center, 1120 Topper Drive in
Mount Pulaski.
Nov. 15-Dec. 31 is the open enrollment for Medicare. Med D can be
a confusing program. With over 50 plans to choose from, how do you
know which is right for you or if you even need Med D? Join
Vonderlieth on Nov. 12 as a representative from their pharmacy
provider comes to discuss how to wade through the maze of Medicare!
A dessert buffet will be available from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
Local
residents will have the opportunity to warm up and shop this
Saturday at The Christian Village in Lincoln. A craft and
bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring pies, cakes,
cookies and preserves, as well as arts, crafts and gently used
merchandise. Homemade chili and pork chop sandwiches will be served
from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The $5 meal includes chili or sandwich,
chips, pickle, dessert, and a drink. The meal and craft and bake
sale are sponsored by The Christian Village Auxiliary. Proceeds will
go to the activity department, benefiting residents throughout the
year.
Annual
craft and bake sale by the Eminence Ladies Aid. The public is
invited to enjoy a great lunch and foods this Saturday. Lunch served
-- soups, sandwiches and desserts. You can shop for homemade pies,
noodles, cookies, cakes, rolls, etc. Crafts and miscellaneous items
will be for sale. Proceeds go to support area missions. The sale is
at the Eminence Christian Church, rural Atlanta. The hours are 8:30
a.m.-2 p.m.

Trick-or-Treat
with the Mayor. Who will Mayor Keith Snyder be this Halloween?
If you want to find out, you will have to join the Main Street
Lincoln-sponsored Trick or Treat with the Mayor. Trick-or-treaters
should assemble at Latham Park at 10 a.m. The downtown parade is at
10:30 a.m.
Indoor quarter midget races. The Abe Lincoln
Quarter Midget Association invites the public to come this Saturday,
Oct. 31. Come watch kids ages 5-15 race quarter midget race cars.
Admission is free. Concessions available. The races are at the
Illinois State Fairgrounds, Coliseum Building, starting at 10 a.m.
and continuing on Sunday.
