At 3:30 p.m. National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated minor
flooding occurring along Kickapoo Creek around Lawndale. Around 3
inches of rain fell across this area since Thursday and around 6
inches of rain in the past week. Runoff from the heavy rainfall
was causing minor flooding along Kickapoo Creek around Lawndale,
such as on Mill Street, as reported by Logan County emergency
managers.
Precautionary, preparedness actions: Do not drive your vehicle
into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may
be too great to allow your car to cross safely.
