Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[September 01, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery rose 3.5 cents to $4.9875 a bushel, while December corn inched up 0.75 cent to $3.2975 a bushel and November soybeans dropped 31.5 cents to $9.795 a bushel. Oats for December delivery were flat at $2.25 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures fell and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle slipped 0.03 cent to 86.67 cents a pound; October feeder cattle fell 0.63 cent to 97.42 cents a pound; October lean hogs rose 0.08 cent to 48.15 cents a pound; and February pork bellies lost 0.25 cent to 76.25 cents a pound.
