Agriculture futures mostly lower on the CBOT

[September 03, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mostly lower Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for December delivery lost 1.5 cents to $4.8575 a bushel, while December oats fell 1.5 cents to $2.14 a bushel and November soybeans dropped 4.5 cents to $9.51 a bushel. Corn for December delivery were unchanged at $3.1925 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded higher and pork futures were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 0.67 cent to 86.77 cents a pound; October feeder cattle advanced 1.7 cents to 98.5 cents a pound; October lean hogs fell 0.68 cent to 48.82 cents a pound; and February pork bellies gained 0.75 cent to 79 cents a pound.
