Send a link to a friend

[September 04, 2009]  The Logan County Department of Public Health is announcing the availability of a flu hot line for up-to-date information on seasonal influenza and the novel H1N1 influenza of swine origin. The line is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week. People can call the health department at 217-735-2317 and select ext. 320 to receive updated information and to leave questions regarding influenza, vaccine and ways they can keep themselves safe from the flu.

InsuranceQuestions left on the hot line extension will be reviewed by a professional staff member, and calls will be returned the same business day if received prior to 3 p.m.

During this and every flu season it is important to remember the three "C's":

  • CLEAN your hands frequently to prevent the spread of germs.

  • COVER your cough and sneeze with a tissue or sleeve, not your hand.

  • CONTAIN your germs by staying home if you are sick.
