Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[September 09, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery dropped 12.75 cents to $4.59 a bushel, while December corn gained 1.25 cents to $3.075 a bushel and November soybeans jumped 14.5 cents to $9.365 a bushel. Oats for December delivery fell 2.75 cents to $2.05 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle edged up 0.45 cent to 87.1 cents a pound; October feeder cattle rose 0.62 cent to 99.17 cents a pound; October lean hogs gained 0.47 cent to 50.97 cents a pound; and February pork bellies advanced 1.55 cents to 84.42 cents a pound.
