Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[September 11, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for December delivery gained 2.5 cents to $4.5875 a bushel, while December corn rose 5.5 cents to $3.1525 a bushel and November soybeans fell 2 cents to $9.265 a bushel. Oats for December delivery advanced 3.75 cents to $2.0725 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded lower and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle lost 0.33 cent to 87.22 cents a pound; October feeder cattle fell 0.45 cent to 99.77 cents a pound; October lean hogs edged up 0.97 cent to 52.42 cents a pound; and February pork bellies rose 1.73 cents to 88.15 cents a pound.
