Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[September 12, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery jumped 8.5 cents to $4.6725 a bushel, while December corn rose 4.5 cents to $3.1975 a bushel and December oats edged up 0.75 cent to $2.08 a bushel. Soybeans for November delivery dropped 23.5 cents to $9.03 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures were mostly lower and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle was unchanged at 87.22 cents a pound; October feeder cattle lost 0.45 cent to 99.32 cents a pound; October lean hogs inched up 0.05 cent to 52.47 cents a pound; and February pork bellies rose 0.15 cent to 88.3 cents a pound.
