[September 14, 2009]  TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Red Lions of Lincoln Christian University won the Rose-Hulman Invitational Tournament at Terre Haute this weekend by winning all four of their matches.

The 7-2 Red Lions defeated Blackburn College 25-10 25-12, 25-11; Aurora College 19-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-10; Rose-Hulman 25-27, 22,25, 28-26, 25- 4, 15-11; and DePauw University 26-24, 18-25, 25-20, 25-20.

Coach Jason Farr said: "It was a great weekend: 4-0 against some very good competition. DePauw was 8-0 until we handed them their first loss. The DePauw coach told us after the game that she doesn't see teams hit as hard as we do. That felt pretty good."

During the tournament the big hitters for LCU were Krystine Schnautz, with 68 kills and 27 digs; Nicki Wingfield, 33 kills, three digs; Adriane Tschantz, 34 kills, 16 digs; and Jamie McFadden, 72 kills, 31 digs. Libero Jessica Crowl had 43 digs and Megan Callahan added 182 assists.

The Red Lions open their home season tonight (Monday) when they take on Hannibal-LaGrange College at 7.
