Red Lions defeat Monmouth in volleyball

[September 16, 2009]  The Red Lions of Lincoln Christian University swept the Monmouth College Fighting Scots in three games at Lincoln on Tuesday evening.

InsuranceLCU dominated the Scots 25-18, 25-19, 25-16 as they won their eighth straight match in the past eight days. Coach Farr was pleased to be able to play everyone on his team.

The big front line of the Red Lions controlled the net, led by Jamie McFadden with 11 kills, 12 digs and three blocks; Krystine Schnautz with 10 kills, one assist and nine digs; Adriane Tschantz, eight kills, two digs, two blocks; Nicki Wingfield, seven kills, one dig, two blocks; and Rachel Langseth, two kills, one assist, one block. Setter Megan Callahan had 33 assists and seven digs, and Libero Jessica Crowl contributed 20 digs.

The Red Lions are now off until Tuesday, when they will entertain Illinois College.
