West Lincoln-Broadwell gets regional win

[September 16, 2009]  West Lincoln-Broadwell opened up regional play with a 12-2 home victory over CCNHMZL on Tuesday afternoon.

The WL-B pitchers, Payton Ebelherr and Daniel Hemenway, combined to allow just three hits.

The Wolverines had 10 hits in five frames. Kyle Fitzpatrick led the way with three hits, including a double, and three RBIs. Ebelherr and Brock Byrge had two hits each, including a double for Byrge. Ebelherr scored three times and Byrge scored twice. Preston Ebelherr and Levi Curry each had a hit and two runs scored.

WL-B is the No. 4 seed in the Morton Bethel Lutheran Regional and will play next against No. 1 seed C-EL on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Morton.
