Road closure in Oran Township

[September 17, 2009]  Beginning next week, a portion of 2250th Avenue in Oran Township will be closed for the replacement of a bridge. Construction will be located between 1850th Street and 1950th Street. Traffic will not be allowed through the area during construction. Construction is expected to take six weeks to complete.

RestaurantLogan County was awarded funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation's Township Bridge Program, which provides 80 percent of the funding to complete this construction.

The project was awarded to County Contractors of Quincy. The cost of the project is approximately $161,000.

The highway department appreciates the public's cooperation and thanks motorists in advance for their patience during this construction.
