Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[September 18, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery fell 5.5 cents to $4.6175 a bushel, while December corn dropped 7.25 cents to $3.29 a bushel and December oats lost 3.25 cents to $2.14 a bushel. Soybeans for November delivery rose 2.5 cents to $9.53 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures fell and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle lost 1.2 cents to 85.77 cents a pound; October feeder cattle fell 1.75 cents to 96.7 cents a pound; October lean hogs slipped 0.28 cent to 52.17 cents a pound; and February pork bellies inched up 0.03 cent to 86.6 cents a pound.
