Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[September 19, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were lower Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for December delivery slid 4.5 cents to $4.5725 a bushel, while December corn dropped 11 cents to $3.18 a bushel and November soybeans sank 12 cents to $9.41 a bushel. Oats for December delivery lost 1 cent to $2.13 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded mixed and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle slipped 0.22 cent to 85.55 cents a pound; October feeder cattle edged up 0.32 cent to 97.02 cents a pound; October lean hogs lost 1.37 cents to 50.8 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 2 cents to 84.6 cents a pound.
