Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[September 23, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

RestaurantWheat for December delivery slipped 0.25 cent to $4.5575 a bushel, while December corn jumped 9.75 cents to $3.2575 a bushel and November soybeans climbed 8.5 cents to $9.22 a bushel. Oats for December delivery rose 1 cent to $2.13 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle edged up 0.3 cent to 85.27 cents a pound; October feeder cattle gained 0.13 cent to 96.85 cents a pound; October lean hogs lost 0.28 cent to 49.87 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 1.2 cents to 81.4 cents a pound.
