Agriculture futures higher, livestock prices slip

[September 25, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures mostly rose Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery climbed 13 cents to $4.73 a bushel; December corn rose 6.25 cents to $3.365 a bushel; oats for December delivery rose 3 cents to $2.19 a bushel. November soybeans slipped 1 cent to $9.195 a bushel

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle shed 0.35 cent to 86.10 cents a pound; October feeder cattle dropped 0.75 cent to 97.12 cents a pound; October lean hogs lost 0.70 cent to 50.22 cents a pound; and February pork bellies slipped 0.15 cent to 80.02 cents a pound.
