[September 26, 2009]  Late morning on Saturday, Logan County Sheriff Steve Nichols released the following information:

During the brutal murders of five members of the Raymond "Rick" Gee family in Beason, Illinois, a violent struggle took place. There is a possibility that the person or persons responsible may have been injured themselves. This may or may not be the case.

I am asking the public to look at everyone they know and/or may encounter that may have recent injuries, especially to their arms, head, and upper body.

The types of injuries may include:
Cuts
Bruises
Contusions
Abrasions and/or
Loss of hair

If medical attention to these injuries was needed, it is possible that the suspect(s) may not have sought medical attention. This would be unusual.

If you know anyone with recent injuries, as described, immediately call our
TIP LINE: 217-732-3000.
