Agriculture, livestock futures trade mixed

[September 29, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed early Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery jumped 6.25 cents to $4.56 a bushel, while December corn slipped 0.5 cent to $3.335 a bushel and November soybeans fell 3 cents to $9.23 a bushel. Oats for December delivery were flat at $2.19 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded mostly lower and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle were unchanged at 86.05 cents a pound; October feeder cattle lost 0.55 cent to 96.05 cents a pound; October lean hogs gained 0.75 cent to 50.7 cents a pound; and February pork bellies rose 1.2 cents to 81.9 cents a pound.
