Investigation into the Gee family murders in Beason Truck still being sought in murder investigation  Sheriff requests information on people with specific injuries (Originally posted Monday) [September 28, 2009]  In continuing the investigation into the Gee family murders in Beason, the Logan County Sheriff's Department is supplying photos of trucks believed to be similar to one that was seen in the area where the murders occurred. Sheriff Steve Nichols emphasizes that the truck of interest is a small pickup with squared-off front end. The truck is reported to have a unique feature of exhaust pipes at the far back end of the bed. However, it should be also be noted that the pipes could easily have been sawn off by now.

 Pickup description:

• Gray-silver primer color

• Possibly a Ford Ranger or Chevrolet S-10

• Vertical exhaust pipes located rearward of the rear tires and between the tailgate

The public is also asked to be on the lookout for anyone with certain types of injuries.

Evidence at the home of the Raymond "Rick" Gee family where the five family members were found indicated that a violent struggle took place. There is a possibility that the person or people responsible may themselves have been injured. This may or may not be the case.

On Saturday, Nichols issued the following request: "I am asking the public to look at everyone they know and/or may encounter that may have recent injuries, especially to their arms, head and upper body."

The types of injuries may include:

• Cuts.

• Bruises.

• Contusions.

• Abrasions.

• Loss of hair.

If medical attention to these injuries was needed, it is possible that the suspect or suspects may not have sought medical attention. It would have been unusual that someone involved would seek medical help.

No arrests have been made.

More than a dozen law enforcement agents from multiple police organizations are participating in the investigation. Information has been continually sent out to law enforcement agencies nationwide, keeping everyone up to date.
