[April 03, 2010]  The 2010 Spring/Summer Program Catalogs have been mailed out. If you haven't received your copy, stop by the Y office to pick one up.

For information on Lincoln Area YMCA programs and events, visit the downtown office, 604 Broadway St., Suite 1; call 735-3915; or visit www.lincolnymca.org.  The YMCA Activity Center is at the former Odd Fellows gymnasium on Wyatt Avenue.

Beginning Monday, April 5, registrations for Summer Kid Camp and Summer Preteen Camp will be accepted at a special discount rate. Both camps will be at the Y Activity Center from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Daily activities include recreational games and play, craft projects, daily swimming, field trips, and so much more. Stop by the Y office to register before the early registration ends.

If you love to drip, pour, splatter, run and more with paint, then we have just the program. Register now for Jackson Pollock Art class. This class is for kids in first through sixth grade and will meet on Friday, April 16, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Y Activity Center. The cost is $10 for Y members and $13 for non-Y members through Friday, April 9. Registrations received after that will pay an additional $3 per participant.

Join us Friday, April 16, for Y Party Spring Training. Major League Baseball has begun, so wear your favorite team's colors or uniform and as we celebrate America's favorite pastime! Be sure to bring your glove. This party is for kids in first through fifth grade. It will be at the Y Activity Center from 7 to 9 p.m. The cost is $10 for Y members and $12 for non-Y members through Friday, April 13. Registrations received after that will pay an additional $3 per participant.

Nursing Homes

Get ready for baseball season and register kids 4-6 years old for Wee Ball. Participants will be taught the basic skills of baseball, including throwing, catching, hitting and running bases. Participants will also play an abbreviated game each week. Registration for this program ends May 13.
