'Looped' will end its Broadway run Sunday

[April 20, 2010]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Goodnight, Tallulah darling, and "Looped."

HardwareIts producers announced Monday that the Broadway comedy starring Valerie Harper as flamboyant actress Tallulah Bankhead will close Sunday at the Lyceum Theatre after 25 regular performances and 27 previews.

The play by Matthew Lombardo is a fictional re-creation of Bankhead's re-recording of some botched dialogue from her last film, a 1965 horror fest called "Die! Die! My Darling!"

The cast of "Looped" also includes Brian Hutchison and Michael Mulheren.
