[April 20, 2010]  CANCUN, Mexico (AP) -- A Mexican official says former "Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman, whose wife was found dead in Cancun, has been released from detention but cannot leave the country.

Quintana Roo state investigator Veronica Acacio says Beresford-Redman is still under investigation in the death of his wife, Monica Beresford-Redman.

Acacio says Beresford-Redman was released just after midnight Friday.

The 38-year-old producer was detained as a suspect Thursday after police found his wife's body in a sewer at Cancun's swanky Moon Palace resort, where the family was on vacation.

Quintana Roo Attorney General Francisco Alor said the woman's body had scratches on the neck, signs of asphyxiation and a blow to the right temple.
