Don't lose your sanity keeping the kids busy this summer! Send them
to the YMCA, where daily activities include games, arts and crafts,
character development lessons, daily swimming, field trips, and so
much more. Registrations for Summer Kid Camp and Summer
Preteen Camp are being accepted at a special discount rate. Both
camps will be held at the Y Activity Center from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Stop by the Y office to register before May 6, when early
registration ends. Major League Baseball has begun, so wear your
favorite team's colors or uniform as we celebrate America's favorite
pastime! Join us Friday, April 16, for Y Party Spring Training.
Be sure to bring your glove. This party for kids in first through
fifth grade will be at the Y Activity Center from 7 to 9 p.m. The
cost is $10 for Y members and $12 for non-Y members through Friday,
April 13. Registrations received after April 13 will pay an
additional $3 per participant.
Wee Ball is a great way to get kids 4-6 years old excited
about mom, apple pie and the CUBS! OK, maybe not the Cubs, but
participants will be taught the basic skills of baseball, including
throwing, catching, hitting and running bases. Participants will
also play an abbreviated game each week. Registration for this
program ends May 13.
