Hatfield, Donald L., 29-year-old male,
Lincoln; 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The police report stated that Hatfield was stopped at a stop sign
in the Walmart parking lot, preparing to turn onto Malerich Drive,
when he was rear-ended by Parrish.
Parrish said he had glanced at his cell phone immediately before
striking Hatfield.
The police report also cited that a witness said Hatfield was
texting right before the accident.

at Union on Class A charge of driving with license suspended.

Lincoln, arrested April 12 in the 1000 block of 13th Street on a
DeWitt County warrant for failure to appear on charge of driving
with license suspended. Bond was set at $6,000, 10 percent.

Logan County Safety Complex on a Logan County warrant for
failure to appear on charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

at Fifth Street in Middletown on a Class 3 charge of aggravated
battery and Class A charge of domestic battery.

Street, rural Lincoln, on Class A charge of driving with license
suspended.
