[April 17, 2010]  Cow Chip Bingo tickets are available for $15 for a chance to win $750. The YMCA will host its fourth annual Cow Chip Bingo fundraiser on Saturday, May 15, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the Y Activity Center on Wyatt Avenue. Funds from this event will be used to build a YMCA playground, so bring your family to this FREE event. There will be a three-in-one inflatable bouncer, games and contests, face painting, free hot dogs and drinks, and so much more. Bring extra money for raffles and to choose who will have to "kiss the pig"! Most important, the COW will be there to bring us gastrointestinal fun!

For information on Lincoln Area YMCA programs and events, visit the downtown office, 604 Broadway St., Suite 1; call 735-3915; or visit www.lincolnymca.org.  The YMCA Activity Center is at the former Odd Fellows gymnasium on Wyatt Avenue.

The YMCA is looking for kids from kindergarten to sixth grade to be a part of the exciting summer camp program. Camp participants will enjoy daily activities including games, arts and crafts, character development lessons, swimming, field trips, and so much more. Registrations for Summer Kid Camp and Summer Preteen Camp are being accepted at a special discount rate. Both camps will be at the Y Activity Center from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Stop by the Y office to register before May 6, when early registration ends.

Swim lesson registrations are being accepted at the YMCA office. Lessons will be at the Lincoln Elks Club for kids 6 months to 12 years with various skill levels. Session A is June 21-July 1, Session B is July 6-15, and Session C is July 19-29.

Gift certificates are available for any amount and YMCA program. Stop by the Y office today to purchase your gift certificate.

The YMCA thanks Dr. Mangano and the LCU students who donated their time and energy during E Week. The students helped with Spring Break Fun Days, spring cleaning of the Y office and Y Activity Center, and various other duties. Their help is greatly appreciated!
