Agriculture futures mixed, livestock prices rise

[April 17, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded mixed early Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery inched up 0.25 cent to $4.93 a bushel; July corn fell 2.75 cents to $3.71 a bushel; July soybeans slid 3.5 cents to $9.75 a bushel; and July oats were flat at $2.22 a bushel.

Meanwhile, livestock futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle added 0.10 cent to 94.4 cents a pound; May feeder cattle rose 0.30 cent to $1.131 a pound; June lean hogs gained 0.33 cent to 86.40 cents a pound; and May pork bellies climbed 1.35 cents to 96.90 cents a pound.
