[April 17, 2010]  Lincoln College head men's basketball coach Kirk Whiteman will be organizing summer basketball teams to participate in American Youth Basketball Tour events.

The Junior Lynx program will consist of 10 practices, mostly weekends, and three AYBT summer events in June-July. The program is open to boys in third to ninth grade and girls in fourth to ninth grade, based on the 2009-10 school year.

The emphasis of this program will be on individual skill development while working in the team concept toward the end of the practices before heading to tournaments. This is open to any skill level and is just not an elite program.

The first meeting will be informational. It is scheduled for April 25 at 5 p.m. on the campus of Lincoln College.

Program information and a registration form are available at www.lincolncollege.edu/athletics/bballm (PDF).
