Accident report for Tuesday, April 20 Driver ticketed for
failure to give proper information
Accident occurred in the Best Western parking lot April 17 at
10:43 p.m.

Jayswal, Kanu C.,
47-year-old male, McLean; 2008 Honda CR-V; ticketed for failure
to give information regarding the accident

Meyers, Blake A., 18-year-old male,
Chestnut; 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix owned by Clinton L. Meyer
Both vehicles were reported to be parked behind the Best Western
motel. A witness reported seeing Jayswal backing into the unoccupied
vehicle owned by Meyers. The witness told police that Jayswal struck
the vehicle, got out of his vehicle and observed the damage before
getting back into his car and driving to the front of the building.
When the officer arrived and located Jayswal, he was told that
Jayswal did indeed back up in the lot, later noticed there was
damage to his vehicle but thought that it had occurred at some other
location.
When Jayswal was told by the officer that there was a witness who
saw him get out of the vehicle and check for damage, he said that he
did do that but didn’t think there was any damage.

Lincoln City Police Department reports for Tuesday,
April 20

Derrick, Thomas
L., 21-year-old male, Waukegan, arrested April 20 at the Logan
County Safety Complex on Class 4 charge of leaving the scene of
a personal injury accident.

Christopher B., 25-year-old male, Lincoln, arrested on North
Monroe at Woodlawn on Class A charge of driving with a license
suspended.

McKinley, Terrence
L., 33-year-old male, Lincoln, arrested April 18 on multiple
charges: Class 2 aggravated domestic battery, Class 3 aggravated
battery and Class 2 armed violence.

Merreighn,
Kristena D., 19-year-old female, Lincoln, arrested April 19 at
her residence on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear.
Bond was set at $5,000, 10 percent.

Simpson, Freddie G., 56-year-old male,
Lincoln, arrested April 19 at his residence on Class A charge of
domestic battery and violation of an order of protection.

Lolling, Robert
J., 20-year-old male, Springfield, arrested April 19 in Sangamon
County on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear on charge
of burglary. Bond was set at $5,000, 10 percent.

Simmons, Cody M., 20-year-old male,
Peoria, arrested at the Macomb-McDonough Police Department on
two Logan County warrants: Class 1 residential burglary and
Class A failure to appear on charge of driving under the
influence. Bonds were set at $50,000 and $3,000 respectively, 10
percent.
