Early Tuesday afternoon the Lincoln Rural Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire in rural Lincoln, just past the west end of the city. The sprawling bi-level home, nestled in a grove of trees three-fourths of a mile off Route 10, was completely destroyed by the blaze.

All county fire departments responded to the fire as pumpers were needed to fill up at the hydrants on the west end of the city limits and transport water to the site.

There are no reports of injuries, and Lincoln Rural Fire and other rural departments are still on the scene, making sure the blaze has been contained. Further information will be reported as soon as it is available.
