Cops: Ill-timed potty break lands suspect in jail

[April 24, 2010]  SUFFOLK, Va. (AP) -- An alleged ill-timed potty break has landed a man accused of robbing a Suffolk convenience store behind bars.

Police said 43-year-old Sean Almond was found urinating behind a Kangaroo Mart minutes after a clerk reported the store had been robbed Thursday night. Police said Almond was carrying the stolen cash.

Almond was charged with one count of armed robbery. Charges of assault and urinating in public are pending.

Almond was being held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
