The Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau of Logan County had their annual dinner Sunday evening at the Maple Club. Although the evening started out quiet and subdued, it didn't end that way, with comedian Rex Havens making the crowd laugh out loud. Havens delivers a family-oriented dialogue that involves a great deal of humor about the differences in men and women.

There were two visual presentations from the tourism bureau. One was a look at the power of the Internet and how the world of electronic communications has exponentially increased. The other was a reverie of pictures of all that the tourism bureau was involved in the past year. Zion Lutheran School also had on display their award-winning history projects for diners to see.

Special awards were presented to the Railsplitter Antique Auto Club, Heritage In Flight Museum, Elkhart, T.W. Werth and Best Western Lincoln Inn.

A special tribute was paid to tourism friend Terry Steinhour, who died this past year. Accepting on his behalf were his wife and son.
