[April 27, 2010]  The Hampton Inn of Lincoln has partnered with Lincoln College athletics as the exclusive hotel of multiple athletic invitationals. The hotel gifted the college $15,000 during the Lincoln College alumni weekend. Presenting the check at Saturday's Lynx Fest Community Day event were Jenna McGraw, owner and director of operations; Lynn Paulus, business manager and owner; and Julie Burr, Hampton Inn general manager.

The 64-room Hampton Inn will be celebrating its second anniversary in June. Recently receiving an "Outstanding" quality assurance rating from Hilton, the Hampton Inn is excited for yet another event-filled summer with the Lincoln community.

"With the upcoming celebrations within the area and our new relationship with Lincoln College, we are thrilled to offer such a first-class facility to the travelers coming to Lincoln," said Burr, hotel general manager.

The new Lincoln Center athletic and convocation arena at Lincoln College seats 1,100. The center is the primary home of Lincoln College athletics and is available to the greater Lincoln area for a variety of events. The gift from Hampton Inn will be used to purchase the new scorer's table and team chairs that will be used during athletic events in the arena.

"The opening of the Lincoln Center marks a great new day for Lincoln College athletics," said Dave Klemm, Lincoln College athletic director. "We're very appreciative of the Hampton Inn's generosity. Their gift helps us outfit the Lincoln Center with top-notch, quality equipment. I know our coaches are excited about the opportunity to work with Hampton Inn as they provide quality accommodations for teams and fans attending the multi-team events we will host in our new facility."
