Grain futures mixed, livestock prices rise

[April 28, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain and soybean futures traded mixed early Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Livestock futures were mostly higher.

Wheat for July delivery gained 4.5 cents to $4.925 a bushel; July corn slipped 1.5 cents to $3.58 a bushel; July soybeans slid 5.5 cents to $10.035 a bushel; and July oats were flat at $2.13 a bushel.

Meanwhile, livestock futures were mostly higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle gained 0.37 cent to 95.87 cents a pound; August feeder cattle added 0.65 cent to $1.1760 a pound; June lean hogs rose 1.58 cents to 85.85 cents a pound; and July pork bellies slipped 0.25 cent to 96.75 cents a pound.
