A free lunch of hot dogs, chips, cake and punch will be provided.
Participants will be entered into a drawing for four $25 gas cards.
"Community Action's work to provide assistance to the poor and
elderly in our service area is an ongoing effort," said Angela
Stoltzenburg, executive director. "The open houses we are holding
throughout our service areas are an opportunity to promote the
services we offer and celebrate our successes."
Community Action agencies across the country will have events to
mark the occasion.
Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois has been helping
people and changing lives in the six-county service area of Fulton,
DeWitt, Logan, Mason, Menard and Piatt counties for over 40 years.
"Community Action has turned hope into reality for thousands of
low-income individuals and families," Stoltzenburg said. Community
Action enables local residents to help themselves and, in turn, help
others. We take pride in what we do and are honored to celebrate
National Community Action Month with the entire community."
Questions regarding the open house should be directed to Cyndi
Campbell or Kathy Shepherd at 732-2159, ext. 225.
